OVERVIEW

Project management is a skill which applies to any industry, organization or project. This course provides fundamental knowledge on project management, its principles and concepts. The knowledge applied in this course will refer to the standard of project management which enables the participants to speak with the common language of project management effectively. In addition, participants will be introduced to the gold standard in project management credentials which is the project management professional (PMP) certifications and what are the requirements from the candidate and exam persepectives. At the end of this course, participants will understand the principles of project management in particular the processes and the standard used including the PMBOK Guide. Participants will also be familiar with the PMP credentials, its requirements and examination.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abang Annuar Ehsan works as a research fellow at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He holds a BE in electrical engineering (UNSW), MSc in microelectronics (UKM), ME in manufacturing systems engineering (UPM), MPM in project management (OUM), PhD in applied science (UiTM) and PhD in microengineering and nanoelectronics (UKM). His research interest includes fiber optics devices, optical design, additive manufacturing and micromachining processes. Dr. Abang Annuar Ehsan has more than 16 years of project management experiences in leading research projects including fundings from UKM, MOHE, MOSTI, MTDC and MITI. Dr. Abang Annuar Ehsan conducts academic courses in UKM in particular in topics such as research methodology, applied nanoelectronics, 3D printing, photonics technology and project planning. He is active in product development activities in UKM and has collaborated with industries in developing products based on his research work in
UKM. He holds 6 patents on optical devices and 3D printing system. Prior to working in UKM, he has worked with Mimos Semiconductor and Celcom Timur among others. Dr. Abang Annuar Ehsan is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) under BEM, certified project management professional (PMP) and PMI-Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) under Project Management Institute (USA) and a TTT certified trainer under HRDCorp.
