SYNOPSIS
Focus on the proper design for air quality consideration will positively impacts health and well-being of the patient, frontline workers, operation and facilities management team. Environmental air pollution due to operation in hospital required risk based quantifiable targets should be established for indoor air quality to reduce contaminated particulate concentration and increase the dilution percentage at the patient wards, treatment rooms and building level.
Assessment and mitigation are not only limited to air quality. Cold water supply and hygienic sanitary system also required to be properly considered to ensure the health of the immune system compromised patient being taken care off. On the other hand, special treatment on the sanitary discharge from operating theatre will ensure there is no negative impact to the environment as well.
This session aims to provide some insight information to understanding both design requirements for healthcare related project.
