SYNOPSIS

In Malaysia, the government has created a transportation system that is specifically tailored to the needs of people of all races, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, especially in rural areas. Additionally, it is offered as a social service to persons with restricted means, especially those with restricted capacities.

Although the government has set the same objective for providing rural and urban areas with transportation systems. The results of the research demonstrate that rural communities' mobility patterns differ from those of urban dwellers. According to the report, living in a rural area means relying more on personal transportation, which poses a significant challenge. They don't have a choice of other forms of transportation, which is one of the reasons. This can be because they live somewhat distant from a public transportation hub, or it might be because the services don't satisfy their travel requirements. The prevalence of parents purchasing motorcycles for their kids to use as a mode of transportation to and from school demonstrates that this reliance on private vehicles is not limited to the adult population.

The fact that this family purchased motorbike riders from school-age youngsters who do not even qualify for a driver's licence adds to the difficulty of this situation. Lack of a licence indicates incapacity for safe driving, thus it's probable that this contributes to teenage accidents in rural areas. This is just one of the difficulties with safe transportation in Malaysia, particularly in rural areas. More issues are emerging that require the attention of both government and society.
