SYNOPSIS

As cloud technologies get more advanced, and an increasing number of organizations move towards cloud adoption, there are many benefits that organizations can benefit from migrating their IT infrastructure to the cloud. However, there are also risks that need to be considered. In this talk, we examine what Cloud services are and what they have to offer, specifically at AWS Cloud Services. We also look at what benefits organizations can reap from cloud migration, job opportunities in the cloud as well as some security risks to be considered by doing so.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ts. Dr Chin Ji Jian

Ts. Dr. Chin Ji Jian is a senior lecturer at Multimedia University. In his academic endeavors, he studies theoretical cryptography with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and several R&D and industrial grants. As a practitioner, he has experience in web development and is a certified cybersecurity practitioner with CISSP, CEH and CYSA+ certifications. He approaches cloud technologies from a security perspective, advising on the benefits and risks to interested parties for a balanced consideration. He holds AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certifications and is also an AWS Accredited Instructor, training five cohorts of students on AWS Cloud Foundations at Multimedia University to date.
