SYNOPSIS
Ground and Structural deformation monitoring plays vital role from planning to decision making in AEC industry. From pre-construction phase to maintenance phase, monitoring is necessary for mitigation and preparedness of disaster. In this webinar, application of space-borne technologies for ground and structural monitoring shall be introduced along with use cases in Japan. In this talk, The introduction of technologies such as Synthetic-Aperture Radar (SAR) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) based monitoring applications will be covered in this talk, starting with an overview and progressing to application and usage as an example.
BIODATA OF SPEAKERS
Dr. Tadashi Sasakawa holds PhD in urban planning with GIS from Hokkaido University, Japan. He is currently working as Technical Manager with advisor of International Development Department, at Kokusai Kogyo Co. Ltd. (KKC), and Executive Advisor of National Space Policy Committee, Cabinet Office of Japan. He has been in the GIS and surveying business for nearly 40 years. In recent years, he is actively contributing as a satellite positioning specialist for Cabinet Office.
Mr. Mitsutomo Nakamura graduated from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT, USA) with B.S. In Geography. He is currently working as a Manager in Technology Promotion and Advisor on International Development Deapartment at Kokusai Jogyo Co., Ltd., (KKC) from Tokyo, Japan since 1997. His expertise covers Geospatial data acquisition and processing including airborne sensors, 3D modelling and GIS application as well as domestic and international mapping project management and international partnership development lead
Mr. Dipendra Sunuwar graduated from Civil and Environmental Engineering Graduate Schol of Saitama University, Japan in 2018. After graduating, he has been working in International Development Department, at Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd. (KKC). Currently, he is in charge of business development of KKC technologies such as GNSS based monitoring, SAR satellite based monitoring, Location Based Service etc. He has experience of working in Singapore for more than 2 years.
