SYNOPSIS

Private Retirement Schemes (PRS) is a voluntary long-term investment scheme designed to help individuals accumulate savings for retirement. PRS seeks to enhance choices available for all Malaysians, whether employed or self-employed, to voluntarily supplement their EPF under a well-structured and regulated environment supervised by the Securities Commission. The PRS is envisioned to contribute significantly towards enhancing retirement security of all Malaysians when they retire. The Private Pension Administrator (PPA) is the central administrator for PRS, a body approved by the SC to provide an enabling environment for PRS, oversee and promote the growth of the industry, create general awareness and educating the public on PRS as well as protecting members’ interests.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Dato’ Paduka Javern Lim, is the Founder and Group Managing Director of VKA Financial Group. Having a Financial Planner license accorded by Securities Commission and Bank Negara Malaysia, Dato’ Javern is a self-driven and motivated entrepreneur with more than 25 years in the field of financial services and agency management business. Dato’ Javern has a proven track record of success and extraordinary achievements in all aspects of financial planning business and holds several credentials; Chairman for Ethics and Compliance Board of Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC 2019-2021); Corporate PRS Advisor license; Authorized PRS Master Trainer by Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia, Co-founder and Deputy President (2017 – 2019) of the Association of Financial Adviser Malaysia; Council Member of Strategic, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business (FEB) University Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) (2020-2022) and Adhoc Committee Member (2020 – 2023) for the Master Programme on Personal Financial Planning Education by way of Course Work, University Putra Malaysia.
