SYNOPSIS

IEM YES HQ will be organising a half-day course given by Dr Yu Yong Poh on Google Analytics. The workshop will be targeted at participants with little or no knowledge of Google Analytics and who are interested to learn more. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that allows users to track and report website activity for better content and performance optimization. It can also be used to gauge user engagement, individual page traffic and the success of marketing/publicity campaigns. Participants will learn to design and publish their own personalized website, the fundamentals of Google Analytics and to apply Google Analytics to their prior designed website. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion after the completion of the workshop.

BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Dr. Yu Yong Poh

Dr Yu Yong Poh received his B.Eng. and PhD degrees from the University of Malaya in 2008 and 2016. He joined Altera Corp Penang (currently known as Intel PSG) as an application engineer in 2008 and subsequently Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) as a senior lecturer. Currently, he is serving at Redbeat Academy, AirAsia as a lead technical trainer. Dr. Yu’s main research areas are signal and image processing, data science and analytics. During his PhD study, he developed mathematical models to estimate human heart rate from a sequence of video images. He also worked together with his colleagues to develop models for image and text analysis. He has published over 10 articles including ISI-ranked journal papers and international conference papers. He has also reviewed many ISI-ranked journal papers. As for his professional development, Dr. Yu has accomplished the Enterprise Data Scientist programme, offered by the Center of Applied Data Science, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation. He is also a SAS Certified Predictive Modeler, SAS Certified Visual Business Analyst, and SAS Certified Base Programmer. In 2018, he was recognized as a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists. He is also a certified HRDF trainer.
