Why Do I Want To Attend?
1. I want to know the best way to present my experiences in the report so that it can be considered as my engineering experience for Engineering Knowledge Application, Problem Solving, Management, Interpersonal Skill and Professional Ethics. 2. I want to see some of the good examples to follow and bad examples to avoid in my report. 3. I want to know how to be a good mentee and make full use of the mentorship program that is offered to me by the IEM ECD. 4. I want to know the responsibilities of my mentor. 5. I want to meet my potential mentor. I want to know how to choose the most suitable mentor for me. 6. I want to know if I am ready to be a Professional Engineer. 7. As for the mentors, you get to learn your responsibilities and learn how to be the best mentor for your mentees.
SPEAKERS BIODATA
Ir. Juares Rizal bin Abd Hamid is a graduate in Chemical Engineering (Pennsylvania State University,1979) and Industrial Chemistry (UiTM, 1975). He has held roles and responsibilities of line and managerial executive engineer, project manager, consultant engineer coach, and of a company director – all while in and through salaried employment (22+ years, PETRONAS) and self-employment (19+ years) in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry. In self-employment, he has been a freelance consultant, an associated principal on Process/Project Management to an engineering design consultancy (MECIP Global Engineers), and a Director of a process safety management consultancy (Winmore Engineering). He has since 2006 served as a mentor in, and as member of, Engineering Competency Development Sub-Committee.
Ir. Lim Kim Ten graduated in BE Hons from University of Malaya in 1979 and M.Sc. (Electrical) from National University of Singapore in 1990. Ir. Lim has more than 40 years of engineering experiences in semiconductor engineering, low voltage electrical and industrial electronic engineering, oil and gas, and construction, printed circuit board and systems design. He is actively involved in Malaysian low voltage electrical standard developments, especially low voltage electrical installation and lighting, EMC, lightning protection and healthcare standards. Moreover, Ir. K.T. Lim is actively involved as speaker in conferences and course instructor in specialized industrial electrical and electronic engineering.
