SYNOPSIS
It is widely accepted that the world is currently experiencing a shift in climate patterns. As a result, there is an urgency from all levels of society, including governments, industries, and the general public to undertake significant changes to transition into more sustainable use of energy. However, climate change does not exist in isolation and other pressures are also contributing to climate change impacts, or are derived from the effects of a changing climate. This talk will provide details on the current status of climate science, and give insights on the meaning of energy transition, and the importance of incorporating a holistic approach in its implementation.
