SYNOPSIS
This One-day Webinar will help you to develop a better understanding of all things HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), in relation to Process Safety Management (PSM), which is now gaining wide acceptance and importance in many industries, especially in the oil & gas, chemical and process industries. HAZOP study is a structured and systematic assessment of a complex planned or existing process or operation in order to identify and evaluate problems and issues that may represent hazards and risks to personnel, equipment, facilities and/or organization.
This course will help you to understand the HAZOP study methodology and terminology, its benefits and limitations, the roles and responsibilities of HAZOP participants, and when the HAZOP study technique should be applied to assess the hazards and risks of your process and/or operation.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
• Introduction to the Concept of Risk and Process Safety Management (PSM) • What is a HAZOP study ? • The HAZOP study methodology ¡V nodes, deviations, causes, • The HAZOP study methodology ¡V consequences, safeguards, recommendations, • Who should participate in a HAZOP study ¡V roles and responsibilities • Documents required for a HAZOP Study • Case Study on conducting a HAZOP study.
Learning Outcomes:
On the completion of this course, you will understand: • the Concept of Risk and Process Safety Management (PSM), • the principles and methodology of a HAZOP study, • the resources required for a HAZOP study, • how the HAZOP study progresses, • the benefits and deliverables of HAZOP study, • provide opportunity to participate in a HAZOP study.
