IEM ASEAN Electrotechnical Symposium 2021

ASEAN Electrotechnical Symposium & Exhibition is an important biennial event which allows you to get expert insight on the latest electrotechnical standards, technology, products & services; engineering challenges & opportunities in the ASEAN region; and ASEAN trade initiatives with participation from around 600 engineering professionals, government officials & policy makers, standards organisations, manufacturers, suppliers & solution providers, owners & operators from both dosmetic and ASEAN countries.
Jointly organised by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), Standards Malaysia and Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission of Malaysia), the Symposium intends to provide an effective platform to drive cross-border flows and mobility of engineering technology and services thus accentuating the linkages in ASEAN countries, positioning ASEAN on the Global Value CHain map.
This will be an event with added significance, as the programme includes the launching of the White Paper for Electrical Installation Standards & Regulations in Buildings Amongst ASEAN Countries which is in line with the ASEAN initiatives of ASEAN Connectivity Blueprint 2025.

DRIVE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member
States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet
and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
The 17 SDGs are integrated - that
is, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and
that development must balance social, economic and environmental
sustainability. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Standard Malaysia and IEM
being an key stakeholder in Electrotechnical Industry, aware that the
development of Standard should be drive toward SDGs. The Symposium create a platform for everyone in
the industry to share knowledge and create a know-how to reach these ambitious
targets. The creativity, knowhow, technology and financial resources from all
of society is necessary to achieve the SDGs in every context.
