SYNOPSIS
Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur is the third tallest structure in Malaysia when it was completed in 2018. The tower is 342.5m tall and comprises 77 floors above grade and 4 levels of basement car park. With an aspect ratio of 12.5, structural responses to wind action is one of the key issues to overcome in the design of the tower. Other challenges in the design and construction of this Tower include temperature control for concrete mass pour of 4m thick raft, QA/QC for high strength concrete (grade 80 concrete), instrumentation and monitoring for wall / column shortening due to elastic, creep and shrinkage.
