Why Do I Want To Attend?

1. I want to know the best way to present my experiences in the report so that it can be considered
    as my engineering experience for Engineering Knowledge Application, Problem Solving,
    Management, Interpersonal Skill and Professional Ethics.
2. I want to see some of the good examples to follow and bad examples to avoid in my report.
3. I want to know how to be a good mentee and make full use of the mentorship program that
    is offered to me by the IEM ECD.
4. I want to know the responsibilities of my mentor.
5. I want to meet my potential mentor.  I want to know how to choose the most suitable
    mentor for me.
6. I want to know if I am ready to be a Professional Engineer.
7. As for the mentors, you get to learn your responsibilities and learn how to be the best mentor for
    your mentees.


SPEAKERS’ PROFILE

Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Ts. Abdul Talib Din

Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Ts. Abdul Talib Din Obtained his PhD (Mechanical Engineering) in 2010 from    Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, M. Sc. (Environmental Engineering) in 2000 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, B. Eng (Mechanical Engineering) in 1987 from Universiti Malaya. He had experienced working in various heavy industries related to mechanical engineering as Tool Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Project Manager and Mechanical Consultant for 18 years before joining Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka as an Academician. He has been the Corporate Member of IEM and Practicing Professional Engineer since 1996. Subjects of expertise are Engineering Professional Ethics, Machine Component Design, Manufacturing Process, Integrated Design Project, Product Development, Engineering Economy and Industrial Design.


Ir. Han Seng Kong

Ir. Han Seng Kong  is a Principal Lecturer and Deputy Dean of Faculty of Built Environment, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Prior to joining the academia in 2011, he has 18 years working experience as Structural Engineer, Senior Engineer and Associate in engineering consultancy specializing mainly in building structures. His present research interests include Structural Engineering, Building Information Modelling, Sustainability and Green Technology. Ir. Han is also a member of Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Professional Services Productivity Nexus (PSPN) Engineering Fraternity Industry Knowledge Group for BIM Level 2 Adoption. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), an IEM Professional Interviewer (Civil), IEM Senior Mentor, member of IEM Engineering Competency Development Sub-Committee and has actively spoken in workshops on IEM Log-Book Training Scheme
